Budget 4K TV with HDMI 2.1

Hi all

With Black Friday approaching, is there any budget tvs that are UHD and have HDMI 2.1?

Must be in the 55 to 75" range.

I dont care what brand…happy to get a budget brand as I just want as cheap as possible. Obviously don't want a complete dud though.

Cheers

    budget <> HDMI 2.1

they are typically mutually exclusive, hence the word "budget"…

    • Yes I realise that but assumed with Black Friday maybe there was some kind of budget tv with HDMI 2.1?

If not, I guess I'll forego the HDMI 2.1

  • Sony X9000H 55" at around $1,795 is the cheapest HDMI 2.1 TV I know. These were at around $1,500 at some point.

    • Thanks mate.

And if I went HDMI 2.0, what would your pick be? Looking at $800 max.

    I've seen Q70Ts & X9000h's with damaged boxes for around $1300.

They're frequently on sale brand new (undamaged) for $1500~. These black Friday "specials" are not special, they've been cheaper.

The Nano86 is generally cheapest, sometimes around $1450 but it has an IPS panel with terrible dimming so contrast is bad for its price.

Purely talking 55" here as it's what I've been looking for myself & have been patiently waiting months only to see the average price RISE in these particular models.

Really hoping something amazing happens offer the next few days or I'm going to be pretty angry. Got a new Xbox series X & have been playing it on my dinky old monitor waiting for a bargain 120hz tv.

    • Is the 55" Sony X9000H worth the extra $50 over the LG Nano86?

Was also eyeing off this non-brand which is 58" and very very cheap with good reviews:

This TV will be for a PS5.

      • Yes, the Sony is better in virtually every way, ESPECIALLY blacks. (The Nano86 is the 85 in the USA, same internals)

        https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-nano85-vs-sony-x9…

The only issue with the Sony is the blur at 120hz which they're reportedly working on.

As for other TVs, I can't really comment on specifics but if you like competitive or fast action games, I'd avoid cheaper brands as they have significantly more input lag & higher response times. It's something I personally notice. Doesn't matter who makes the panel, these things will usually suffer with cheap resellers(soniq, Kogan, FFALCON, etc)

Some TCL & Hisense TVs are pretty good but it's hard to find specifics as they use different models to what they sell in the USA.

Sony, LG & Samsung are the 3 remaining top brands with a plethora of international information available (rtings is particularly handy)
