Decent price but for anyone looking to buy one, take note that this is a single pump. Most people are going to want a double pump, as there’s likely to be times your going to want to pump both sides, when having a double pump will save heaps of time, especially when combined with a pumping bra for hands free. The double is also on sale albeit with less of a discount proportionally

For any OzBargainers thinking of buying this for your partner, please check with her first. I would have literally cried over spilt milk if my hubby got me a single pump in the early days of breastfeeding. It’s also worth comparing brands and preferences as there’s nothing worse than a painful or ineffective pump when you’re already sleep deprived.

I'm no expert but I would hazard a guess that the Spectra is a better pump for the money. We got the rechargeable one and the difference in price is well worth it for being cord-free and not worrying about replacing batteries. They do come up on 10-20% off occassionally.

      • I ended up with a Spectra also, which worked well. I didn't like that they were online only and from what I can see from reviews aren't great on customer service if something goes wrong. Luckily we didn't have any issues. I got my Spectra second hand and saved a bunch of money - probably not to everyone's taste, but everything that comes in contact with the milk can be sterilized so I wasn't worried.

          probably not to everyone's taste

Why are you letting all these people taste your breastmilk? ;)

        • To add to this - the Spectra is a closed system, that prevents milk making its way to the motor. Apart from the the potential mould issues if not cleaned correctly, I feel like they have better re-sale value due to this

      • Yes my wife struggled with this pump, she said it was horrible. So bad, we are buying the Spectra this time.
