  • Are these the best wireless at this price point?

    • I have these, and am pretty happy with them. They've been lower before though.

    • rtings reviewed the older non-Pro version last year. They said it's worse than the SteelSeries Arctis 7 (which is $200+ here in Oz) but better than the Arctis 1 and HyperX Cloud Flight: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/corsair/hs70-wirel…

The Corsair HS70 is a good gaming headset that has great sound for critical listening. The HS70 is the wireless variant of the HS60, and both headsets are quite similar. They have a good build quality and great padding on the ear cups and headband. The detachable boom microphone is decent, and you can use the Corsair iCUE software to customize the sound of your headset. Unfortunately, the HS70 wireless headset can’t be used passively with an audio cable, but their 15-hour battery life should last you more than a normal day of gaming. On the upside, their dongle offers a minimal amount of latency, but since they don’t allow passive playback, they’ll be a bit restrictive for mixed usage.

I spent the last couple of weeks evaluating wireless headsets in the $150-$300 rage for PC. HS70 are decent at this price. As I had a higher budget I narrowed it down to Steelseries Arctis 7, Corsair Virtuoso, and HyperX Cloud Flight S (not the non S). I was set on the Arctis 7 as it was good overall but nothing for the usual special price ~$200. The Cloud popped up on here other night for $200 (with cashback) so had another look and ended up grabbing them. Apart from availability, what made me reconsider was the comfort (these are supposed to be comfier than my current set is Cloud 2s which I wear 7-10 hours a day without issue for work then gaming), simple function (I already have a digital EQ on PC so don't need it in software), dongle instead of huge cable like Artic (I move between work laptop and desktop each day), wireless charging, and only need for PC (it has no headphone jack or bluetooth). Not a massive audiophile and more after comfort and function so hopefully they fit the bill.

Plus further $10 off using app and the code APPONLY10. Just bought for 115.30. Thx OP. Almost bought last week!

  • I take it these aren't xbox compatible?

    • No they're not. Only PS4 (not sure if PS5 works). There's no 3.5mm jack either so you can't just plug into the controller.

  • Any thoughts on these vs the new Sony 3D Headphones coming out?

If you can find them for a fair price, steel series Arctis 7p would be my recommendation. They are the 7 but designed primarily for ps5 and its features (specifically states “ fully compatible with PlayStation 5's Tempest 3D AudioTech”).

  • Can't add to cart, seems sold out
