  • Hmmmm I had gold class tickets that “expired” in late March but were supposed to be extended…

Buy at your own risk. I bought a 10 pack at xmas time and the cinema closed in March, still has not reopened. Expird in June, this was the companies reply:

Unfortunately your gift product purchase cannot be refunded or exchanged and can only be used as per the terms and conditions stated on it.

To avoid confusion, the terms and conditions were listed on our online gift shop prior to purchase. If you are unable to use the product yourself within the validity period, we would suggest perhaps giving them to someone who can.

I do apologise for any frustration this may cause, in no way do we intend to personally upset our customers, we must adhere to our policy and communicate correct and honest information to our customers, even if it is a response that may not result in the outcome our customers had hoped for.

      NEVER AGAIN

This is from Village Facebook - In regards to vouchers that have expired and all customers that have been in contact with our customer service team. We have been operating on limited hours throughout our closure which has extended our response time. Rest assured, if your voucher has expired during our closure period, it has been automatically extended to March 31st, 2021.

        • Thank you!! I remember seeing something like this at one point but couldn’t remember where and now all of a sudden it’s November (how?!?)

I wonder how the business of cinemas is going these days 🤔

I do love to experience a new release in a cinema. But at $23 a pop, it's hard to compare to a month of Netflix for $11

Who would go to the cinemas these days?

Putting COVID aside, I don't think I could put up with people talking, mobile phones ringing, coughing, uncleaned cinemas, and everytime i go to gold class the food is always cold - and its mostly deep fried!.

Decent content always ends up on a streamer service.

    • I went the other day. My friend and I were the only ones there. We did talk because it was just us. Food was burning hot in gold class. Was deep fried, though they had a lot that wasn't. It's probably ruined cinema going now that restrictions have eased, but that was a good experience.

      • Having said that, I bought a projector & screen and look forward to doing outdoor movies this summer.

It's the same price they offer on a regular basis in several rewards programs outside of the Black Friday, e.g. to NIB customers.
