  As does thorough cleaning with warm water and soap. The fatty membrane is destroyed by any soap. Fear sells though, I suppose.

  Since when was Dettol not to be used on skin.
  My whole family have been using on skin for around 20 years, heck I used to put it on my face ages ago before washing it a few seconds after.
