Recommendations for Quality Beard/Hair Trimmer Cordless

Looking for recommendations for a beard & hair trimmer for a gift.
Went to Shaver Shop & the guy told me that this Wahl one is pretty much the one everyone should get
WAHL 18K Gold-Plated Superior Performance Lithium Ion Grooming Kit - 100th Anniversary Limited Edition at $224 currently on sale

Looking for the ability to be cordless (run on battery), shorter shave/trim, as well as up to 10mm for hair tidy ups.
Want something that will last at least a few years low maintenance
Thanks everyone! BTW, I'm a girl so this is not my domain

  • I got both WAHL Steel Lithium Ion and Braun Beard Trimmer.
WAHL with attachment, slim, heavy and $$
Braun is plastic, big but light, cheap , dial no attachment needed.
I use both, but for gift and for bling factor, WAHL is better.

ability to be cordless (run on battery) - Yes,
    shorter shave/trim - Yes
well as up to 10mm for hair tidy ups - I wouldn't use it :)

    • Is there a reason you wouldn’t use it for longer hair hun? Not powerful enough?

  • As a guy with a beared i have been using a cheaper Wahl for around 6 years maybe more and only now is it starting to show its age (probably could do with a sharpen).

The $224 gold one you mentioned is a good model but is top of the range. It comes in blue on sale at shaver shop for ~$125 and is largely the same (the ozbargainer in me?). This is the one I'm requesting from "Santa" this year…

Thinner is better as it helps with angles and tight spots, not to mention travelling.

    • Ooh thanks! I didn’t realise there was a more cost effective option. Will try keep an eye out! Also good point about thinner, I thought bigger meant more powerful/better

  • WAHL Lithium Ion - bucketload cheaper to buy it from Amazon.com. $114 AUD shipped inc GST.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0058SY1XQ/ref=ox_sc_rp_ti…

I bought one during lockdown, and its great for the beard, but other than ears/neck, it'd be useless for haircuts (even crew cuts) as the blade is just too small and would take forever.

    • Thankyou!! I’ll have a look at your link!
