I certainly noticed the cloudflare bad gateway 502, host error.

  • Bought an ARC for $1189 (normal unidays Sonos sale) and also managed to grab a Sonos sub for $680.

S2721DGF for $469.6 thanks to LiMaaa!

    • AW3821DW also thanks to LiMaaa, an absolute legend

  • OzB was slow, some good deals were posted, but didn’t need anything.

    Didn’t see freebies, everything cost $$$ 😭

Hey this is a good comment, definitely saw some better deals on regular days.

  • LiMaaa was definitely the best. Snagged some cheap Aperol Prosecco. Got some glasses from opsm. Got some wild turkey with $10 cashback.
Wanted a Logitech vertical mouse and keyboard, but no sales.

  • Global Hiro knife block set for $279 on the Peters 20% ebay sale. Happy with that!

  • Picked up the Dell XPS 8940 Desktop deal

And took advantage of some of the small cashback deals

  • Too much, and I don't remember. Will just wait to see what turns up in the Startrack van I guess. :p

    • loooool honestly same

  • Got a Samsung Q80t 75'' im pretty happy

    • +1

All the decent deals were on 75", I just wanted a decent gaming screen for my room :(

    How about worst deal?

Dell outlet Refurbished Inspiron 5676 30% off $1369

Purchased same refurbished computer with identical specs for $899 in April 2019

My own personal deal only available to a true wheeler and dealer.
Bought a iPhone 12 128gb sealed on Friday for $900 off gumtree, retail $1429. Cash is king lol.

good deal but sounds sus.. is it a stolen iPhone …..

      • -3

        Nope

  • Had an entire list of things i want to buy but not one thing on sale from tools to new computer parts. Absolutely garbage "sale" this year

    • I agree, I had $7.5k+ worth of items across my eBay/Amazon/Camel3x/Price Hipster watch lists including a TV and the only item that went on sale was a router. The TV still sold out though, with no discount. What is wrong with people.

      • lol yep i had a calibration microphone in my Amazon list been in stock for last 4 months and suddenly sold out with no discount during the "sale" period. People are inherantly stupid and given what we've seen over the last year it should be no surprise anymore. Completely makes sense why Target etc run with "loss leaders" to get the sheep in the door and pay "full" price for the rest.

  • Delonghi Nespresso machine!
    RRP $269
Down to $180 at David Jones
    Then after staff discount, $162
Then after Nespresso cash back, $82.
    ;-)

  • Booze deals were probably the best I nabbed. Aperol, also Asahi Black.

  • Haggled for an extra $100 off the 55" Sony X9000h at Harvey Norman ($1440 total).

Not the super bargain that I was hoping for but I think this sale was a revelation of just how much the virus has affected the economy & industry, not to mention the console launches too.

Take the LG BX OLED, cheapest I saw it (before cash backs, exclusive coupons, etc) was around $2500.

Last year its predecessor, the B9 OLED, was around $1500 during the same sale iirc. THAT was a bargain.

  • All I wanted was a 2070S for $500~.

    Maybe today is the day…

  • this black friday wasnt as good as the last one. prices seem higher. for example, I bought 2 earphones (bluetooth 5.0) last year for $64. this year newer version (exact smae specs) was $44 for one. also PC deals were kind of meh…i think we get better deals after March

    • Yes they simply excluded most cheaper items from discounts.
I was able to find better discounts on these items during β€˜regular’ days in the year.

  • after ebay price match managed to snag a 970 Evo 1TB for about $143.

Missed out on the motherlode though which is a graphics card, the last piece of my build. 2070 Super seems to be just about OOS everywhere :(

  • Oculus Quest 2 with Zip Pay ($50 off) and managed to successfully get a cashback from Shopback (12% off) meaning I got around $120 off an already discounted $579 from Amazon.

  • Spent too much. Think my card wanted some action after not seeing much during two lengthy lockdowns.

  • Got google nest mini 2nd gen for $34.20. Price beat at Bunnings.
