Best Corded Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Speaker for Home Music Use?

Am looking for a solid speaker to put in a small echo-y lounge room to use for music not tv. Is the Sonos One SL for $199 good? or are there better options?. Keen to spend around $300

Sonos one SL is a good option for a small room if you've already bought into the Sonos ecosystem. Otherwise you should note that you can't use it as a bluetooth speaker, only a wifi speaker. If you want both bluetooth and wifi capability, you will need a Sonos Move.

If you're not stuck in Sonos land then there are a huge range of options from different suppliers (Bose, Yamaha, Sony etc) that you should consider.

  • I have one of these.
Packs a punch. I'm satisfied. Just using un kitchen but way too overpowered for a single room.
    Just my 2 cents.

  • The One SL is great value at the moment. If you're wanting to put more speakers around your place down the track I'd definitely recommend Sonos. I have an Ikea Symfonisk Lamp (Sonos built in) in my bedroom, putting a Sonos Amp in my lounge room this arvo & have a Play:1 on my balcony and they work fantastically. The Sonos app is a great hub on my phone and iPad for streaming music and it's super easy to change between playing the same stuff on 1 or multiple speakers at the same time.

As the first comment noted, it's not Bluetooth but having used these on a daily basis, I can't say I find it a big deal that they don't have it.
