Free fitness for teens

We want to make a difference to the lives of young Australians so Fitness First together with Target is providing the opportunity for every teenager to improve their fitness, health and lifestyle through our Fitness First Initiative for Teens or FFIT program. FFIT gives school students the opportunity to workout at our clubs for free during the school term and in the holidays. We offer a non-intimidating environment which encourages them to be active while also having a lot of fun.

Call or visit your local club and ask reception to book you into the next FFIT Holidays Induction. It is recommended that you do this prior to the holidays starting.

The FFIT Member may only receive the FFIT Holidays Membership Card once they have attended the induction and their pre-ex questionnaire has been signed by the Personal Training Manager. FFIT Members 16 yrs and over will be required to do an extra 20 minutes of the induction to learn about the weights and strength equipment.

Once the FFIT Member has completed the induction they will receive a membership card and a lanyard. It is required that you bring your membership card and lanyard with you upon every visit and it must be worn around the neck at all times whilst in the club.
This membership card provides you access to the club during school holidays dates only and during the specified FFIT Holidays times.

Please note that teens will not be supervised. Participants under the age of 16yrs are not to use the free weights or strength equipment. It is also recommended that your teenagers not be left at the gym for any longer than one hour at a time.
For more information please contact your local club.

"The FFIT program is a great way for teenagers to engage in
physical activity. Teens can work at their own pace and find
exercises and classes that they enjoy, and best of all - it's FREE!"

Geoff Huegill - FFIT Ambassador

FFIT ultimately aims to encourage young Australians to get active year round - for FREE - by providing them with a fun, non-intimidating and non-competitive environment in which to train, thereby motivating them to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Enjoy :)

  • It's on every school holiday
But you have to get an introductory induction first before you can start using it, ring up your local FF to see when it does have its inductions

    • I've gone to this twice (Springwood, QLD), and they never had any inductions.

      • really!
I had an induction when i started up(as in, it was not just walk in and gym)

Yeah, there should've been an induction

  • great… all the brocurls and brosephs gonna flood the gym now :( Captain upperbody and ILS (Imaginary Lats Syndrome) kids in da gym guys !

Thanks God I didn't go to FF

  • +3

FF cops a lot of flack for their marketing but this is a great initiative and I don't mind sharing the gym in off peak hours if it gets teens away from their gaming consoles and active. Not a new deal though as they've been doing it for a few years now but happy for them to spread the word.

    • -8

you know you don't actually own the gym.. you will have to share it whether you like it or not.

But yeah kudos to FinanceFirst for putting the fitness of others before their pocket.

    • +2

It's not their good will. Don't kid yourself. They did a promo a few years ago, promised stuff, got taken to court, and had to follow through with the terms of the promo. They wouldn't be doing this if they weren't forced to

    u aware?

    • +4

yes brah, im aware. Mirin your progress. Lookin thick, thight and solid.

      • wow, strong miscers presence here ??? U guys actually open ozbargain too ?

        • the brahs are trying to flirt, leave them alone

  • +2

    Come at me brah

    • +1

      u mirin brah?

  • +5

Yeah good idea, free for teens, but once the teens are done or not teens any more, FinanceFirst will come after your bank card and will never let go of it once they get a hold of it.

  • This is good. I'm going to register. There was another bargain like this but it was only available to vodafone customers.

  • Good to see FF fleecing teenagers now. FF will do whatever it can to take your money, don't sign the dotted line with these thieves, unless you have read all the fine prints and that it has made sense to you.

  • Does this only apply to high school students? I'm 18 and in uni. I couldn't find anything that said high school only but perhaps I missed something?

    • +1

      Not high schoolers, but 12-18

They check ID when you do the induction, cos they need to check if you are 16 or not(for the use of free weights)

Sucks to be at Fitness First ha ha

  • +5

I work at Fitness First and this deal is crap. It fills the gym with teenies who have no idea how to use the equipment and stand around giggling and getting in the way of the real customers.

  • +1

Lol at the paying customers hahjahahaha

  • Hook them in now, and they'll be paying customers in the future. It's not a genuinely altruistic move.

  • If you want to get them fit, attach a bucket of KFC Chicken to a rope and drag it behind your car
