Which Dashboard Protectant is Best?

I’m looking for something to rejuvenate and protect my car’s vinyl dashboard. Either commercial or home made. Any recommendations?

I don't care which brand you choose but please choose a matte finish.

Those high gloss dashboard finishes do my head in.

    • And whatever you do, don't stick "ornaments" on the dash.

    Dash mat ?

303 Aerospace and a dash mat and a reflective blind when parked.

  • 303 as above or Bowden's Vinyl Care - Just missed 30% off though.

  • +1 for 303 or if money is tight baby oil is just as good as Armorall.

  • Do the liquid protectants actually work?

You would think that the car manufacturers would already have something on the dashboards to protect or at least use materials that'll survive the heat and UV rays for many years.

The worst dashboards I've seen are the ones on Toyota Camrys and Corollas. I can't say I've seen all of them, but the ones I have seen that are about 10 years old or so has some sort of issue with the dashboard. Whether it's the materials expanding and leaving a huge gap where it meets the windscreen or the surface of the dashboard has melted and become very very shiny and sticky.
