  You trust a program written by somebody else to clean the cache and not secretly send the info to a crook? Seriously?

  Why not just use the incognito feature of Firefox or Chrome when you do banking?

  Just wondering - would it not be easier (and possibly safer) to perhaps type the details into a document of some sort beforehand, then just copy and paste the details for the cc purchase?

    No - some keyloggers can also read copy/paste.

  use CCLEANER. other than that I would not trust anything

  All web browsers have a delete cache thing which deletes cookies etc.

  Ccleaner works also.

  Common sense also works very well(don't go on bad sites, don't click ads, have a good AV).
