      There is no upgrade path to the PS5 edition.

    For anyone wondering, this isn't the exact same thing as the Special Edition that just released on PS5 and XSX - there is no upgrade from DMC5 (last gen) to DMC5 Special Edition (next gen). They're pretty close though - in addition to everything in the last gen version, Special Edition has: Vergil mode (available as paid DLC for PS4/XBONE/PC in a couple of weeks), Legendary Dark Knight and Turbo modes, as well as raytracing.

    IMO you're better off just getting the last gen version for cheap (this deal) if you want to play it before the next gen version drops down to a similar price as the additions aren't really worth spending an extra ~$45 on.

    Not a great game, don't worry about the next gen BS. Buy it cheap and get it out of your system if you have to play it.

    Dmc 3 is the best out of the series by a long shot. Dmc 5 comes 2nd but by quite a margin. Still a good play tho and way better than dmc 1 2 and 4. I will be so stoked if Dante is in the dlc 2 fighters pass

      It's just a lenticular slip cover that goes over the case.
