Hi All, I have decided to own new Mazda CX-5 Touring (2.5L Diesel)|RED| and I see the current price is listed in website as $44,235.
As this is end of 2020, I was advised by couple of friends that we could negotiate on the price and get better deals in December.
In case if we can get any exciting offers, I am really interested to buy 2020 model in couple of weeks. Can someone suggest me what is the max discount that we can expect in this model during the end of year.

My mother bought the same car except in petrol and Machine Grey colour for $38.5k with a few accessories (brand new - October 2020 build).
None of the Sydney dealers would play ball so we had to go regional. Bought the car over the phone and picked it up two weeks later.

Stock levels vs demand determine how much you can haggle.
They’ll only discount if the model is not selling as well as they’d like - aside from the usual amount that people buying a car expect to haggle (5%ish)

All depends on stock levels now though, demand is a bit different due to the Rona.
Supply and demand. You might well find that there's no red ones out there, or very few, meaning you'd stand no chance in negotiation.
Go in with a budget of full price, and see how you can negotiate. Or order a 2021 plate.
