Normal price at Dan Murphy's is $330.

"This case of wine was originally destined to be loaded onto Qantas aircraft and enjoyed inflight but due to our reduced flying we are now offering it to our customers to purchase and enjoy at home.

The cardboard box you receive the wine in may have a warehouse sticker on it (we use this to help us manage the wine in our network) and the bottle may have a Qantas back label.
The 2007 Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blanc is an exceptional year, living up to expectations as soon as you open the bottle. This elegant wine lives up to its reputation with its freshness, strength, minerality and mellow fruitiness. Its freshness encapsulates a certain moment in time. Luxury Champagne to be enjoyed anytime!"

    A tasty drop!

  • use by (bye) date - are they even a thing on a vintage champagne :?)

NV yes. Vintage no, but there are what people consider a range of years for peak drinkability.

If kept in a proper wine fridge at the ideal champagne temp (around 12 degrees C), then vintage champagnes can last for 20-25 years. I've got a bottle of Krug 2000 which I've been keeping for a special occasion so looking forward to that.

The 2007 Tattinger should last till at least 2027.

  • The other question is: How good of a vintage was 2007, since there have been a ridiculous amount of 'vintage' years lately.

    Looking at you, Moet.
