You are right. There's $0.423/L on fuel excise, plus GST. So over half this fuel is tax, so it does only cost them half to produce it.
Take your complaint to the government if you have an issue with it.
I wasn't complaining, I was stating a fact.
Errr….be careful, they may be selling it to get rid of the fuel so they can repair a tank. I know someone who bought cheap diesel like this and it was full of water because the take had leaked and allowed some in during a heavy rain. YMMV - literally.
I notice that there are one or two others nearby that have the same price so it should be ok. Really excellent price considering the percentage that the government takes.
That's the only thing worth visiting in Queensland, I'm glad the borders are open now.

It's only just changed from Freedom Fuels to Metro, may explain the deep discounting.
The BP nearby is undercutting them and selling for 88.9 according to Petrolspy.

Mostly at places popular with truck drivers.
Not really… Doesn't cost them even half that to produce.
