Adioso helps you find the best deals immediately by simply searching for broad terms like:

The links below are the best deals found by Adioso's deal-finder, in order of % discount.

There are also good deals on capital city routes - they just don't come up in the % drops.

Adioso only indexes Qantas fares out to about mid July, but this covers most of the sale fares, and who's really booking domestic flights now for next August anyway?

You can be alerted by email whenever fares drop to within your budget by completing the "Find out when prices drop" form at the bottom of each results page on Adioso.

Happy travels…

  • Thanks for this - really useful

  • i missed those really cheap flights to london. Are we likely to see those again any time soon??

    • +2

They've been happening every couple of months for the past few years, so we should see them again in not too long.

To make sure you're the first to know when they next appear, visit http://adioso.com/search?q=london and subscribe for alerts!

        awesome, thanks!

        • Qantas just sent me an email.
London for $1699… If that counts as cheap (IIRC that's not as cheap as it was last year)

  • no Adelaide? :(

    Loving your work A-Tom!

Please take note that Adioso prices do not include taxes/surcharges.

    • +5

      That's highly untrue :)

We go to great trouble to include all taxes and fees, and display the total amount payable.

Of course, this is only an issue with flights that originate outside Australia, as Australian consumer law requires that advertised prices must be all-inclusive for flights originating in Australia (see http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/976249).

If the fare you get when you click through to an airline is different from the one advertised on Adioso, it will be due to a delay in updating our index, or some other error, which we'll happily fix as soon as we know about it :)

  • Australia's domestic flight prices are ridiculous. They should be like this -all- the time, not just during "sales".

Someone has to fund Alan Joyce's 71% pay rise.

      • +1

        Unfortunately.

    • While the market continues to pay the current prices there is no reason at all to lower them.

Vote with your wallet. Fly Virgin Australia.

Bear in mind that DJ are not always cheaper. They were very cheap when they rebranded, now they have jacked prices.

  • Thanks, however can you include a search function to exclude Tiger sales from my search or subscription…

    • It's coming.

    • But Tiger are our most reliable airline (see below). I would appreciate a 'no Jetstar' option.

      http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel-news/tiger-our-most-reli…

      • But this came mainly as a result of a cut-down schedule
after the budget airline was grounded by the Civil Aviation
Safety Authority (CASA) for six weeks mid-year.

Aside from that, Tiger has generally had the worst record for on-time performance and cancellations. See http://www.btre.gov.au/info.aspx?ResourceId=214&NodeId=104

Virgin has sometimes had a higher cancellation rate, but it matters less as they have more frequent flights to transfer passengers onto. You're much more likely to be stranded on Tiger.

That said, our airline selector/de-selector will let you opt in or our any airline. We won't be going to the trouble of building the feature just for Tiger :)

      • I prefer Virgin/Qantas or even Jetstar. Tiger will always be off my list! Sorry.
