Bank Transaction SMS Alerts. St George Only Alerts for $20 or More Transactions. Does Your Bank Have This Minimum for an Alert?

Stgeorge only sends me sms alert for transactions (debits) over $20 on my account

Can everyone let me know their bank and what the minimum debit transactiom amount is to receive an sms alert of that transaction from their bank

I will litetally change my bank if another bank will give me sms alerts for ALL transaction debits on my account. Or atleast all above $5.

Or do all Aussie banks have this $20 minimum, like stgeorge, before they will send you the sms alert?

TY

Yep switched to Macquarie a year ago for a good rate on my mortgage and found they have an amazing app and web interface.
In the settings you can set your own minimum for alerts for: purchases, deposits, withdrawals, direct debits, BPAY, refunds, declines and e-gift cards.
And you can choose which specific cards or accounts you want the alerts turned on and off for each of those categories above.

  • Why? Google Pay seems to give me alerts every time a transaction is made but not sure what the minimum trigger for it is.

    Citibank is $100 minimum

  • Ing let’s you set multiple alerts for what ever kind of transaction you like.

    Best bank around

    • how to enable that mate? I don't get any app/sms alert for my ING card.

      • On the website go to notification settings.

  • I think NAB sends me the notifications for the debit card I've set it for.
Like I get NAB messages on the app for paying something on eBay via Paypal (using that card), tap and pay on the phone etc.

  • NAB sends notifications for all transactions (debits and credits).
