I know that the S100 has just been released, so maybe DWI is trying to get rid of it's S95 stock. Pretty good price for a very handy camera (some argue it's better than the S100, but each to their own), but it's limited to 50 pieces.

    I have used DWI to buy a very expensive lens, their customer service was first rate.

    But can you explain for the lazy why the S95 may be better than the S100?

      Do a search on S100 vs S95 on google, especially the dpreview forums, you should find that image quality is very comparable. Yes, the S100 has quite a few new features, but you're paying q premium for it..

          Could not get it working … would say that the DWI deal is very good price for the camera at the moment … 214 from eGlobal (with the 10$ off and free shipping would be sensational … but it is not working). I think you might get the camera soon for the price as the S100 is coming out.

          Yeah, couldn't get it to work…imagine if eglobaldigitalcameras did have $10 off and free shipping, the website will literally go into meltdown, given how cheap some of the stuff they have on there prior to shipping costs being factored in…

      re: shocking price from local retailers. Given that RRP i think is around $499, i wouldn't be surprised if these cams cost the local retailers about $295 or above. DWI is probably breaking even - at best! As someone mentioned…they'd be clearing some stock with the new model coming.

    Yep, people's brains seem to get frazzled with the item cost plus shipping. Hence the tactic is used by sellers. If the camera cost $1, and shipping was $316, there's bound to be at least one person who would come on here and proclaim the fact that they got their shiny new S95 digicam for $1! Shipping rates on these type of sites are completely arbitrary figures devised to trick dumbwits into thinking they've scored an incredible bargain.

    In reality, all we need to know is the total cost that an item landed at your doorstep for.

    I bought the S95 just recently and it was about $314 shipped so even lower is a bargain. Great camera and to be honest there wasnt a whole lot more the S100 did over the S95, at least not for the price.

      Agree, I was going to hold out for the S100, but I am glad I didn't as the few extra things it does for the extra cash, makes me rather have the S95… Its pretty much an unbeatable camera for the money.
