ASUS VivoBook 14 Flip Issues

I wonder if you all have this issue.
Normally on Win10, you press 'win' and type the application name.
The cursor goes into the search bar.

On this VivoBook 14 - brand new, from the amazon deal, half the time it doesn't.

I can't search for an app, I can't do anything. It's like there's no keyboard. Can't touch screen to put cursor in there.

Can open explorer, type in the path bar. KB is there.

Other times, touches on screen don't. It's just dull, as if I didn't touch it.

I'm not very happy, it's getting frustrating just setting it up.

Put your most used apps in the task bar.

    • So if you bought a car and one of the doors won't open, you'd just say hey I have 3 others that's fine?

How do I put my apps in the task bar when I can't access them?

      • Use the mouse or touchpad initially (instead of the keyboard) and drag the icon to the task bar.

I ride a motorbike thus doors are not an issue. Be careful drawing the wrong analogy.

Make sure all the drivers are up to date.

      • So if you know that just using it as is isn't the answer, what do you think you should do? Contact the manufacturer or the place you purchased it from perhaps? Maybe get it repaired/replaced under warranty?

        • I'm trying to find out if others have the same issues, hence the post. there's a difference between my machine not working properly (fault) and everyone's not working properly (design)

          • @furyou: You really think every single vivobook flip has this issue? Even if it did, you would want something done about it, so it has to go back to the retailer/manufacturer.

            • @brendanm: I'm sorry, which law am I breaking for asking?
What is your problem? You've been condescending and added no value to the conversation.

              • @furyou: Not at all, I said

Which is exactly what you need to do. The point being there is no need for a conversation, someone elses opinion doesn't matter. It's faulty. Contact the retailer/manufacturer.
