Sony WF1000XM3 Vs Jabra Elite Active 75t Vs Bose QC

Narrowed it down to these three, does anyone have any comments on how have they been for high intensity and running? and for static (i.e weights) exercise with respect to water/sweat/dust? Has anyone experienced any loosening of the buds over time?

Are there any other manufacturers I've overlooked that I should try?

Thanks

comments on how have they been for high intensity and running?

Fit is important here, the Jaybirds I have have never fallen out and are a secure fit. The Sony's I found the ear tips to be a bit big for a great seal but that is my own opinion, plus no IP Rating on those either…..

As far as I know the Sony's don't have an official IP Rating. If your main purpose is high intensity sessions (kickboxing, cross-fit etc) then this is something to seriously consider when tossing up between which earbuds are good for you as Gym sweat can kill a pair of buds real quick. The Jabra Elite Active are essentially the same bud as the regular 75t (sound wise) but with a higher IP rating and are most Sport/Workout focused. Microphone performance for calls is only ok for the models you have listed but if your main usage is for workouts.

Maybe also look at other sport oriented buds like the Jaybird Vista Truly Wireless

    • Thanks danny, i've just decided to buy em all under trial, bit too much money to rely on reviews and second hand opinions. I'll check out the Jaybirds too. Thanks for your reply buddy. IP rating has got me more and more focused on the longevity of things..but the applepods dont have an IP rating and theyre by far the most common wireless bud i see among my friends and theyve never had any hardware issues. hmm

Just in case anyoen else is tossing up between any of these. I found the Jabras the best for active purposes- they fit snugly in your ear and dont have any protruding parts. They dont loosen over time and the IP sweat/water/dust proof rating is peace of mind. They are more bass heavy/orientated which is what i listen to anyway. ANC is on par with sony imo.

    • Did you try the Bose?

I have the bose right now on a 3 month trial. Theyre ok, they are an all rounder, not the heaviest bass but not the softest. Pretty darn good with ANC. My car has a beeping safety feature when you dont put your seat belt on that changes form a low pitch beep and progressively goes to a higher frequency- perfect for testing the anc and the bose cancelled any sound. Theres nothing wrong with them, theyre just bigger less aesthetic imo to the Jabra, they dont have any IP rating (but then again neither do the apple airpods and theyre the most popular wireless buds you see in gyms) but the price is double at 400ish and not worth that imo. Bluetooth distance is great about 10-15m before I get breaks in connection (if thats related to the phone rather than bose)

If you listen to asot, Jabra is the way then.

        Hope that helps?

        • Yep, thanks! Mainly just wanted something to cancel out the music played on the speakers at the gym, and train noises, so was worried Jabra's ANC might not be enough.
Might wait for an 85t Active
