2000 Woolworths points = $10 discount or 1000 frequent flyer points

    • "3,000 Qantas Points = a $20.00 WISH eGift Card"
So a $20.00 WISH eGift Card would cost 3000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points which is $30 ?

      • yeah nah

I guess the key difference is the conversion to store credit linked to your rewards card, vs gift card for this deal

        • I think I'd rather have my store credit and buy from there , than buy a $20.00 wish card for $30.00 store credit.

@chrisie: yea no brainer for most people.

            • @skido: this is for points accumulated from other means than everyday rewards as there are many ways to earn points, thought everyone would know that

        • Pretty sure the store credit can be used to purchase gift cards if you needed it?

          • -2

@[Deactivated]: this is for redeeming all the points we get from BP, Terry White, Travel card, qantas health ete etc etc

          • -2

@[Deactivated]: this is about qantas points, not everyday reward points

Subscribed. Thanks OP. Now just wait till Feb 1 for $20

    3,000 Qantas Points = $20.00 isn't bad.

  • $250 Wish gift card back in March 2019 was 47,500 points, so 44,410 points under sale is pretty good. The RRP is now 49,350 points.

  • I note there is a maximum of one $20 card per quarter with this offer

Just to clarify this is not for woolworths points converted into ff points and then back into a wish card, this is for points accumulated by the lots of other ways too numerous to list. Never thought I would have to explain that

  • So now we know how much Qantas points are worth post-COVID crash.

  • I see this was first posted in 2015 but I have never heard of this until now, and its good to see they have kept points redemption the same with this deal. I wish I had known, could have saved some points

Previous post: Qantas Points Auto Reward - $20 WISH eGift Card for 3,000 pts
Good baseline for determining minimum worth of a QFF point as most people shop at Woolworths.
Getting less than 0.666 cents (or as little as 0.6333 cents depending on access to discounted eGift Cards) per point is a bad deal.

    • for me its a good deal because I get points all over the place, from BP etc, used to be with Qantas Health, and this is what I redeem all those points on, and to get it for less is a bonus

      • For me, I earn most of my points from credit card bonuses and I keep a ready supply of points for future flights. But I hate that the points don't earn interest like money would. So I've been using Auto Rewards until I offset all the fees I had to pay to get the points.

  • I thought I knew everything about points, but only just learned this

0.66 is a woeful redemption rate
    Especially on an ongoing basis.
Might as well stock up on comfort packs and drink carts.

    • -1

no thanks, quite happy with my wish card

    • What redemption rate do you usually get, btw? Based on business/first class flights or the sell rate in the classifieds or something else?
Either way, I've reported your neg vote.

      • +2

Even domestic flights yield better than 0.66
Usually redeem upwards of 2c pp - Emirates business or first
0.66 is pretty much the going rate for anything from the store.. hardly a deal ie. not the cheapest available, especially given the steady supply of discounted wish gift cards.

        • its a saving on the normal rate. The sale they have at the moment is only for 6 days, this is long running. If I had of known before I would have saved thousands of points on my redemptions. But when you come up with better feel free to post

          • +1

@screensaver: I couldn't kick the neg vote but don't let this bother you. Nothing (from what I can tell) cheap in the store is a necessity and not everyone flies. Or you still have points left after redeeming all you want from the store and flying all you want. Let's just all agree that the worth of every redemption option is subjective.

            • @SocietyBox: its okay you have to run the gauntlet whenever posting here, looks like that will never change

I only buy gift cards with any points I get

  • This is not a deal. You get $20 for 4000 Woolworths points which equals to 2000 QFF points… so basically you need to have 6000 WW points to convert to 3000 Qantas FF points. So basically you let go $30 to get $20 from Qantas.

Woolworths screwed up by agreeing with Qantas for lower conversion ration and Qantas trying to rip-off people by using more points to get less value out of WW gift card. This is the only reason I moved on to Coles which has more partners then Woolworths and also you get 1 point for every dollar spend.

    • Bias on which part of the conversion is the bum deal. WW to QFF (1 cent/point) or QFF to WW (0.667 cents/point). For example, this eGift Card deal has a better conversion rate than the iPhone 12 64GB on the Qantas Rewards Store (with no promotions, 0.575 cents/point).

    • this is not for your woolworths points, its for points obtained from elsewhere, such as BP etc

  • Did this work for anyone this month? My points are still untouched. "Contact us" menu item throws an error :-/

  • Thanks OP signed up

  • Can anyone point me to the right direction to cancel this (unsubscribe) please as it shows just “Subscribe” option when logged in?

    • It seems like it's impossible to unsubscribe from this scheme once you sign up. I have even called them and the guy had no idea and eventually just hung up on me

      • I'm looking to opt out as well and cant figure it out
