It's a very simple to learn deck building game. Kid friendly. Each year has its own bosses & year 4-7 introduce some new mechanics.
It doesn't have a card to remove cards from your deck (it's in the expansion) so I lowered the number of some of the less useful spells before we played. If you find out of the 6 possible purchases you keep getting the same unneeded cards then remove a few of them for the next playthrough. It also makes the game easier as you are more likely to get the cards you need instead of fodder.
