    • WHY DON'T YOU JUST ASK THEM, THEY CAN ONLY SAY YES OR NO, how many posts do you need to make???

      • Thanks for your reply. And Thank you very much for your kind suggation.

    How Much?!?!?!

I paid $2600 about 6 months ago…. Damn good price.. Also damn good TV - great picture quality… Seems to come out with firmware updates regularly - recent updated added skype capability if you buy the skype camera add on..

I'd probably buy another one if it wasn't so damn big for my bedroom, but then again, you would get a tv like this for its size!

  • Damm, I paid this price for the 47" model 6 months back. Its a tempting price.

    • 6 months is a long time in tv world. Don't think you have to get too upset about that :) I think in 6 months time, this tv would probably just be $1,200 or so. But oh well, have six months to enjoy a 55 inch 3d tv and save some energy over the old tv along the way. The energy rating is only 350 kwh pa.

      • I dont think so, it will go that down. Else 2 year old 55" LED would have be available under 800 dollars. It was 2400 6 months back. SO 600 is a big drop, I suppose.

For those not aware, you can use standard 3D cinema glasses (e.g. Hoyts) on an LG Cinema 3D tv. They are perfectly compatible. So a cheap way to get more glasses.

  • is this a proper backlit LED TV?

  • there is $300 cash back promotion on this model if you buy bluray player or home theater with this.

  • I bought this just last week for $1800. Also bought the BD660 (lg 3D blu ray player) with it for $150. These prices came with a bit of haggling of course. The two products together makes me eligible for the current $300 cash back promotion.

    • where did you buy from, can you pls upload the receipt, i am looking for this TV

      • For some reason, when I suggested posting the receipt on ozbargain for more savings and for him to get more customers, the guy said he would get in trouble and wasn't too keen on it? I think he actually said don't. (Undercutting?) So, that's why I decided to not post that as a deal last week. Sorry.

But I post this as a reply to say that the deal can be had or possibly even better, at one of the major retail chains in store. He was the store manager btw and when asked the best price he came right out with $1800 (without even having to tell him that the other major retail chain offered $1890). He wouldn't budge any lower than that.

        • Perhaps, I can send a copy of the receipt to you some other way? With identifying details taken out. I don't have any online photo site accounts in any case.

No store matches receipts these days. The deal either needs to be posted online on the store's website or on paper catalogue.

Store find different reasons to discourage price match.
Secondly, there were lot of people matching with fake receipts.
So no point getting a receipt.

  • got 55lw9500 for $999 at bing lee — 55" led tv

    • Yes but that is not 3D which is the whole reason why I wanted this tv (with passive glasses) :)
