@Strange1: If they started from scratch (which it sounds like they are), they'd need to get roughly 2.2 million XP per day …
@kerfuffle: Took me 3 years. But I reckon if i had sufficient motivation, funds, and time, I reckon i could get it done in 9 days

The game is very accessible to new players. I only joined in Jan this year and had family join during the year.
My two tips are:
1) The best way to earn XP to level up is to add as many trainer codes to the friend list as you can interact with daily (open or send presents collected from Pokestops) without it being a chore.It takes 90 days to earn 100k XP (double with a Lucky Egg) for a Best Friend. You can hunt for codes via comments in previous Ozbargain deals or use mine to get started:
9495205575282) Don't feel turned off by being unable to do Gold or Elite raids to catch top or Legendary Pokemon. You can always jump on a raid egg hatching in the city or a popular park to raid with other players, even if you don't know them. This is a great way to build up your collection.
Players on iOS need to go to https://rewards.nianticlabs.com to redeem this. (I guess so Niantic can avoid paying Apple 30% of the reward value, or something?)
I went here but there isn’t a blue Pokémon Trainer Club option that I usually use to log in? Only Google, FB or Niantic Kids. Am I forced to link it? What am I supposed to do with my child’s account? They’ve got the worst account system I’ve seen as a parent!
