Just thought I'd leave a quick review here for anyone else that's after some decent budget wired earphones.
My requirements were:
no Bluetooth (these earphones live in my work bag, so can't be bothered charging and need them ready anytime anywhere for public transport commuting. Also, Bluetooth gives me headaches 🤷♂️ don't ask. Tried several brands. Severe headaches, and I normally never get even a mild headache)
under $50
doesn't fall out (apple headphones seem to slip out of my ears easily, probably due to smooth design)
in line remote for calls and music management
decent sound quality
comfortable / no ear pain after long usage
look discrete
I must admit, these tick all boxes and for only $29! Got jbhifi to price match good guys.
I was expecting very tinny sound quality. Don't get me wrong, they lack a bit of bass, but they are far from tinny that you'd expect at this price point.
For anyone looking for this criteria, id highly recommend.

I have these for the same reasons you have - keeping them with work gear, set and forget. Was influenced by the JB Hifi reviews mind you, so that probably doesn't qualify me as being too discerning.
