So I have Qantas Amex Ultimate creditcard I applied from the previous deal and from there I received Qantas travel credit $450 which is about to expiry in Feb 2021.
I have no plan to travel with Qantas next year and Amex said it will expire if I don’t renew my creditcard next year.
For those who applied and have this creditcard have you used the Qantas credit yet?
If not what’s your plan to utilise this credit before it expires?
Under the current COVID restrictions (border closures) it’s really hard to plan for domestic travel let alone overseas.
I have had an Amex with a smaller QF credit, unused as well, and an upcoming annual card fee to pay. So called Amex support and asked if I can cancel the card d/t above.
They were very helpful and credited me with enough points to cover the fee, so I keep the card.
