Which Country Is Your Primary Apple / Google Account Set to?

Do you have multiple Apple / Google accounts to access apps that are not available in certain regions?

The following apps appear to only be available in the ‘Australian’ App Store:

  • ING Australia
  • ANZ
  • Boost Mobile
  • Woolworths
  • Kmart
  • Target
  • Cashrewards

Apps that are available in other regions:

  • CommBank
  • NAB
  • Westpac
  • Up Bank
  • Coles
  • Shopback

    UK and Aus.

    Now what?

    • It gets annoying when you have more than two countries; creating and managing multiple accounts just to download a single app.

What do you use the UK account for?

Aus (main) and the US for a secondary account - mainly for apps that aren't in the Aus store or are only free in the US store

    • Do you find that the US store has more free apps or deals?

      • +1

        Sometimes has more deals yes

Boost Mobile can’t be managed via a web browser

    m.telstra.com

    • m.telstra.com

Thanks, that's how I had accessed it. I forgot about that as I haven't logged in or made a plan change since signing up a few months ago.

I've edited the original post to remove that part since it's not relevant.

Can the Boost plan be linked to a Telstra account so it can be managed while overseas? It currently requires the Boost SIM card to be in the phone and Telstra cellular network coverage.

  • Equatorial Guinea . Dont knock it until you try it.

  • Some 200 countries in the world. Two in your poll…

    • Australia obviously needs to be there.

USA due to popular apps only being available there (Netflix initially, Hulu, HBO Max…)

‘Other’ would most likely be those that signed up for an account while living overseas.

  • Roku app doesn’t have private listening in the AU app -_-

I created a US account for that.

  • Why dont you use 2 phones and have each phone set on a different app store. You probably don't even need a sim, can just be an old cheap phone and use it on Wifi.

    • No thanks :)

I don’t want to carry two phones. It’s not that big of deal as I only need to switch accounts when downloading the app. It’s fine after that.

Apps (especially for essential services like banking) shouldn’t be restricted based on the App Store region. Why trust a bank that makes it difficult to manage your funds?
