Saw that the deal for the newer version of this monitor got some traction so i thought i would share. I have only just ordered it so no feedback from me and i am no monitor aficionado.

  upsides:
  27 inch so a large monitor
  Curved, if you like curved monitors
  3 year warranty from samsung
  VGA legacy support

  Downsides:
  only 1080p for such a large screen pixels will be visible
  VA panel (IPS or OLED is best)
  only 60hz
  5ms response time is noticeable in fast paced games
  no freesync support
  no speakers

  I'd probably wait for another deal like the recent dell or acer 24in 1080p IPS 75hz freesync monitors for around 140.
