Just about to start playing bass for the first time and after a cheap practice amp. It doesnt have to be special, just something with a headphone jack and decent sound for a first time player. 2nd hand is totally cool if you are close to the south coast of NSW or Southern suburns of Sydney for pickup. Looking to spend around $50 or thereabouts. Anyone got anything they can offer me?

Marshall MS2C mini guitar amp is pretty descent for its price. $58 at JB http://www.jbhifi.com.au/jb-hi-fi-home-audio/pro-dj/marshall… - I got one myself. It has clean or OD (overdrive) mode. In clean mode, the volume is relatively low but it is clean. In OD, the sound is louder but you can hear a bit of hissing noise.
Don't get joyo mini amp from ebay… it sucks as it has terrible hissing noise.
