The Adventures of Tintin [Blu-ray] for about $25.20 or £15.98 (with shipping) at Zavvi

There would be no chance getting this before Christmas.

Amzon Uk have it for £34.75 - so even with VAT removed it does not come close.

  I often question the necessity of releasing low resolution cartoons on the blu-ray format but at this price it's a bargain.

    I think if they're re-scanning the film most of the time they do it at 4k or 8k so might as well release it on Bluray.

    Apparently it doesn't have the greatest image quality, but it's definitely a step up from the DVD or original's.

    Its been cropped into 16:9 & the series doesn't seem to be remastered properly at all

  Looks good, just note that the Amazon reference points out that the blu-ray discs (and DVDs for that matter) are not region free (and BRay discs are Region B encoded).

  This is fine for Australian blu-ray players (also Region B), but not so great for those with imported PS3's…

    I'd say so. the bundles have more details and do mention that it's been remastered.

  Great deal! just ordered with the Pirates of the Caribbean Box Set (1-4 plus bonus disc) Blu-ray, which was ~$30AUD.
