Cashback Tracking Not Working

Hi Guys and Girls,

I've been struggling for a while with cashbacks not tracking cashrewards and shopback lately it works fine for the odd one but a lot don't.

not sure what im doing wrong.

can anyone point out what they do to get a guaranteed track?

I've tried through the phone apps, on the website, using the browser extensions on laptop etc etc.
use to get 9/10 now I get 1/10 track.

this is what I do. i cant see anything wrong???

Phone

  • (No Adblock)
  • Cashback app
  • Then opens in Site app if available (eBay, AliExpress, Amazon etc)
  • Add item to cart
  • Dont use giftcard or coupon (unless 100% sure its ok to use)
  • Purchase

Computer

  • Turn off Adblock
  • Click through from website or browser extention
  • Add item to cart
  • Dont use giftcard or coupon (unless 100% sure its ok to use)
  • Purchase

    I avoided that myself and force to open the website within the respective cashback app. Keeps the cookies intact.

    Or maybe it is up to luck.

    • I tried that but as soon as you click another link the app takes over from your browser anyway.

  • I have no problem tracking on PC. What browser do you use? If Firefox you need to disable enhanced tracker protection for the retailer sites.

    Aliexpress you need to use app, because on PC it stupidly opens a new tab.

    Just use incognito mode. I've never had an issue with Cash Rewards using this method.

    • Thanks, I'll try this. I've given up with cashrewards, as the new internet explorer (edge) doesnt seem to work with them anymore, and the website fails to load. I'll try this method.

    I've had issues with both companies CR and SB.

    Before I even check out through their portal I check to make sure my click was tracked in their click history log, and even when it is it still fails to track.

    For the most part I've given up with Cash Back
    schemes.

    (I use chrome incognito)

    • Do you have a Pi-Hole or some sort of Anti Virus software blocking the track?

    I've never had any dramas. Had the odd transaction (like maybe two out of probably a couple of hundred) not go through, but definitely not the sort of issues described here (or in other posts).

  • what everyone should do to ensure a cashback will actually track:

    1. ensure adblocker is disabled
    2. do a TEST
    3. i'll use menulog as an example. So after you click on 'Shop Now' to track, you can double check to see if it's actually tracking
    4. to do this, click on 'My Click History' on the Cashrewards website
    5. if you see the store tracked, then you're good to go - repeat the cashback process as normal.

    i have 100+ cashbacks and have never missed a single cashback by ensuring it will track beforehand. it also helps you have a record incase you need to claim a missing cashback - this is proof you actually clicked on the website

    • Does my click history actually mean it's being tracked or that you have just visited that website via the CR website?

      • well i can't say for certain, however i've never had an issue with cashback not tracking after it appears in the click history

      click history doesnt indicate at all that your purchase will be tracked, one of the steps to lodge an enquiry for a missing cashback is to go to Click History and raise an enquiry from there.

    • When it hasnt tracked its always in click history to chase it up

  • i only have problem with aliexpress, half the time it doesn't work.

  • Perhaps use an alternate fresh browser with no add ons? Like if you’re using Safari, use Chrome, or if you’re using Chrome on Windows, use Edge, etc

    • Incognito worked for my latest one.
      The more i look at it. It seems the phone doesnt seem to track 90% of the time vs the pc 50%.
      Think i will just have to start doing on the pc in incognito. More chance of it working
