Booked Wrong Gold Class Session at Village Cinemas, Am I Screwed?

Managed to bungle booking gold class tickets for New Years at Village Cinemas; right seats and time, but at some point in the process it defaulted to today (29th) and I didn't double check.

How screwed am I? I've sent them an email explaining the situation, but no clue if they'll get back to me before 9pm today, let alone let me change it to the right date before it's booked out and I've ruined our date.

Should I bite the bullet and just rebuy the tickets at full price to avoid ruining the day? Should I wait for customer service to get back to me and pray? Should I make the trip down as soon as they open and beg the front desk clerks to make it all ok?

@thatonethere: Pam wanted us to know that she had a friend request from a dead person

              • @rb123: When did they die?

              • @rb123: It was her psychic too

                • @Muzeeb: It was not her psychic, the psychic wanted to be her friend

                  • @rb123: Dang. It was hurting my brain - that's probably why.

      You mean the drama tonight?

  • Yes just rebuy the ticket and the old one should be refunded after you provide with new booking. I did a few times with Event Cinemas.

What movies are currently worth seeing?

  • Use the telephone and call them.

    • Good luck trying to get through to a real person…

It's their events team, so a different department, but you'll likely get through to a real person. They should be able to help you.
They were able to check an online a booking I made about a week ago…

        • No luck, they seem impossible to get a hold of. Went through most of the options, each one just says to leave details and a message, or email them.

      • Don't they have help section on their website?

I just went through this couple times with Event Cinemas the last week. They are under the same management.

        • They do, it all just leads to their email form.

Event cinemas seems to have way better support, wonder why

          • +1

@Jolakot: Yes, fill in the form, they will respond and refund you in the next few days.

It was a form as well for Event Cinemas.

At least for Event, I just had to tell them I've rebooked and just gave them the new booking number. A few days later, they just refunded the old booking.

            • @tajid: The online support was beyond useless, after a few emails back and forth they said they can't do anything to help and to just go to Crown.

Made the trip and got it changed, pretty annoyed at how hard the whole process was, but also it was my mistake to begin with so can't be too mad

Can't people think for themselves these days? Why do you need to ask this on a forum?

I did think to myself, and that thought was to ask the premiere bargain hunting site in Australia for advice.

      What's wrong with crowdsourcing solutions?
