Does Anyone Know What Happen to Kogan Wireless Mechanical Keyboard?

Hey everyone,

Basically I scored a Kogan wireless mechanical keyboard for $29 in March and found that it was decent enough for uni and gaming. Basically, I love it for that price.

My friend tried it out and want to cop one too due to the low latency as most wireless keyboards use Bluetooth which is bad for gaming.

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen them at all after that. Does anyone know why they took it down and whether they will restock it?

  • might be incoming. you might need to wait I reckon,

  • Is it really that good? How much noise do the keys make.

    • I’m a red switch user so not that noisy imo. It does have a springy noise (especially for space, shift and backspace keys). However, to be honest, I have been using it for 7 months and my brain auto filters out those noises so it doesn’t bother me at all :) If u’re sensitive to sound you might actually find it super annoying though.

You can put in o-rings to keep keys from bottoming out. Reduces noise and makes it a bit nicer to type on imo

      • Thanks for the tip

      • IMO it makes the typing experience even worse. You buy a mech keyboard to get away from the sucky membrane keyboards only to get o-rings which makes it feel like a rubber dome keyboard.

And installing o-rings won't really help with the pinging noise (coming from the springs inside the switch), however, o-rings are decently effective at reducing the noise.

  • Wasn’t this listed as a deal a few days ago?

Oh it was the wired one.

  • I'm also waiting for a deal on the Kogan Wireless mechanical keyboard, currently I have the wired brown switch version and I love it.

    • Looks like we gotta wait for a while or it’s just long gone. I might have to look for the wired version instead of it’s the latter.

  • If you can't wait for Kogan to restock there's many cheap wireless mechanical keyboards for sale on Amazon and Aliexpress.

I'm using a Motospeed wireless TKL with red switches that I really like. I did have to mod it with some foam inside the chassis to stop the ping noise it would make when I typed with gusto, but since I did that it's been fantastic. I'm not a fan of the blue backlighting but at $60 delivered I guess I can't tick all the boxes.
