[Price Error] MSI RTX 3060 TI VENTUS 2X OC $591.50 + Delivery @ Zotim

Moved to Forum: Original Link

The cheapest price for 3060ti, even below the MSRP of $688. It said in stock at supplier but don't know how long they will ship it.

Seem like they are located in QLD, they have free pick up in store as well maybe give them a call to see what they say if you live in that area

  • How’s this track record?

  • In Stock at Supplier…

    • +3

I wonder if it still counts if the supplier is overseas…

  • Good deal OP, at this price it's very tempting even with a potentially long ship time.

  • I saw this at afternoon and it was out of stock at that time.

  • Amazing price but dont know if the seller is reputable so I'll pass.

    $15 shipping to Victoria.

Can't even add it to cart?

    Price error surely

looks like page is unavailable now. Maybe a pricing error?

“Oohps, we listed $100 below retail… NOT above”

  • Not available any more.

  • gone gone gone

  • AM I TOO LATE? 😯

  • +12

It's probably the price retailers get it for. Then they rub on the scalper scat all over it and sell it for $959.

    How beautiful.

    • Scalper scat. Brand New sentence

  • +13

    $959 what a joke

  • Hmm I wonder if they will honour, went on their Facebook and looks like pricing errors occur quite often

  • 600$ youd be dreaming.

  • -3

Where does it say it’s a price error?

  • +20

Surely there is no one, absolutely no one, dumb enough to pay $959 for a 3060 ti. It's not even a high end model, it's the shitty Ventus model. Lord help anyone who buys this.

Edit: RRP $1,029.60. what a joke. Surely that must be illegal, advertising bullshit like that.

  • Did anyone manage to order this item?

  • +1

Screw this, I am buying a PS5, wait, not available as well …arrrhhhh… 2020 is not a good year.

  • +4

They must have accidentally priced it at MSRP

  • How did they make 959 into 591.50? 😂

    • First day at work

    • +2

      959

      591.5

    • +1

$591.50 could be the cost price, if RRP is $688 including GST, that leaves $38 profit, which fits with the complaints from retailers that $RRP is "too low".

Of course if you are selling out of preorders without needing to stock anything, $38 profit is very good.

It looks like the retailers are slapping on a 45% markup. Not out of the ordinary for a slow moving tech product in Australia (like accessories), but far more than would ever be charged in the USA

I'm in the process of setting up an IT store at the moment to launch early next year so I can perhaps add some perspective from the other side as I am keeping a close eye on costs and prices in the leadup to launch.

I can tell you straight up that $591.50 is a lot less than my cost price although I'm not fully set up with all suppliers yet so there could yet be cheaper suppliers. Whilst I won't disclose the actual cost, the actual RRP on this model according to my supplier is $855.36 and most prices I can see online at staticice range from $818-$859 so the $959 they have changed it to is out of line with the rest of the market.

There's no chance of doing any sort of volume with a 45% markup in this industry as there's so much competition, but businesses need to pay merchant fees, rent, electricity, staff and so on, so to make $38 on a big ticket item isn't really sustainable when you have to deal with the overhead costs already mentioned and also potential loss/damage in transit, warranty returns etc in the future - that figure can easily be eaten up just in wages alone very easily. The $688 figure everyone quotes as the MSRP is for the founders edition which isn't even available in Australia so it's essentially a meaningless figure for this card which is a third party AIB that sets their own prices.

        • Thank you for your perspective.

I reckon once you start doing volume, your cost price will go down.

Earlier this year, I did a very big order with one of the big computer shops and they gave me 17% off on RTX 20-series GPUs. That tells me they have plenty of margin.

          • @dualcore: Everything has a margin, it would need to be at least 40% to cover costs, especially items not bought very often.

            It's just business economics.

Getting a larger discount on a higher priced item would be much more likely than a larger discount on a lower-priced it.

omg.. This is the 7th "pricing error" i've seen on 3060ti's from yet another retailer.

More fuel to my belief that they should be selling for atleast $600.

  • It's back up on their website as in stock and at the price, not bothered to try to check out though.

    • Even when it shows add to cart, it will show Sorry, we don't have enough 'MSI RTX 3060 TI VENTUS 2X OC, RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 2X OC, 8GB GDDR6, Core clock: 1695 MHz, Cuda Cores: 4864, 3xDP, 1x HDMI, 650W (99X42545)' in stock to fulfill your order: we have 0 available. Please change the quantity on order in your shopping cart and click update. Then try to checkout again. In carts lol

      • I ordered one earlier lol, used PayPal of course

        • +1

It's not like PayPal is needed for some idea of buyer protection. Credit card alone is fine as there's chargeback.

          • +3

@chyawala: PayPal is just significantly easier to get online customer support.

  • Scalpers were creaming themselves for a moment there!

  • +3

Wow i thought for a brief second that graphics cards were returning to nearly reasonable prices again!

    • Check the used market

  • Glad I didn't feel like I've missed out.

  • How can this be $10 more than the equivalent 3070?

    • +1

      What are u talking about

      • People above say this card was priced at $959 but a 3070 is only $949

  • Anyone got refunded for the order? was called today to be refunded…

    • +1

Yeah I was refunded (through PayPal) a couple of hours after I missed their call.

  • cheapest ever was 709 from PLE.why would this NOT be a mistake?
