The Arctic and Antarctic remain the greatest wildernesses on Earth. The scale and beauty of the scenery and the sheer power of the elements - the weather, the ocean and the ice - is unmatched anywhere else on our planet. Yet these harsh environments are teeming with life: home to iconic animals from polar bears to emperor penguins and from killer whales to wandering albatrosses.

i dont see the big deal… no way in the world a camera can be setup in a polar bear den and not disturb mum. still great footage, still a great doco.

        • Couldn't agree more. It was shown in special features and explained, its not like it was a full cover up and denial that it was captivity.

  • Just finished watching this, and planet earth.. awesome series

  • So… any reason I should not order this from amazon.co.uk for… $55 inc shipping?

  • Priced on Amazon.co.uk (with free shipping) at £41.20 (=A$64), so similar when taking into consideration the shipping fees from groupgrab… but I suppose you might get this before Christmas!?

    • Unfortunately we can't guarantee shipping before Christmas on this one.

    • Don't forget to remove the VAT of 20% (and also add 2.5% conversion fee, though some pay 3%).

    • $9.95 Shipping in title please.
    • The link says $9.95 shipping included in $54.95 price but when you add it to the cart shipping is not included and total comes to $64.90…

  • ya… got $10 shipping fee..

would be a more accurate title…

    • .. 1 scene.

      • Requires full disclosure, didn't give it. "Oh, we weren't trying to deceive anyone". Except they were, and would happily have said nothing if nobody had pointed it out.

Documentary is not drama. You don't invent the story you want to tell if you're a decent documentary reporter.

        • Trying to deceive? Its openly shown in the special features

        • I don't think it takes anything away from the film, 1 scene that would be near impossible to film.

Compare this to the hundred other scenes and many months that the teams of camera men spent making this film.

It's a quality production that is worth watching.

  • If you have a UK IP address/VPN you can download Frozen for free in HD currently available on BBC iPlayer. Been watching it, and it Looks like a very good production like Life amd Planet Earth, very high quality.
