    Where is it made?

    • The lack of information might implied it’s not from somewhere worth bragging about, but I’m more concern about quality of the steel.

I’ve seen some flimsy cutleries in cafe and would never keep those at home. A good set going to last longer than you and it’s like it’s a sizeable investment compare to other spoils you see in OzB.

      • it has a 25yr warranty but whether these guys (or anyone) would warrant that is dubious.

        Here's who the importer is:

        https://www.fackelmannhousewares.com.au/

        Kingsgrove

If this isnt made in china, its india or vietnam etc.

realistically if this is $50 then you have possibly less than $20 wholesale imported once you factor in the middleman gst and all the fat so where ya gonna get 30 pieces of stainless forged for that money???

        CHINA

  • Edit. Nvm

Cutlery seems to be like rugs.

      • Add dinner sets and other crockery to the list. You want to wait for at least 70% off.

Waiting on a deal on the Vera Wang Wedgwood set, Ive missed out on the last few Royal Doulton deals; Op any chance of dropping that set on a deal? I can see it's OOS

Ordered two, we have stanley rogers stuff at home for the last 15 years and its been really decent quality.

I'm going to guess 15 years ago they might have been made somewhere else

Like many things the older products had a focus on quality

      Pyrex being a prime example

      • True, but I remember our last set people saying similar - its worth the risk for $50 imo

  • Out of interest what is the reasoning for hand washing only?

    • some turn black using auto washer

    • Dishwasher is harsher so they always recommend washing by hand even when they also say they are dishwasher safe. It doesn't say "hand washing only". The care instructions also say stuff like not to leave it soaking and not to leave it to drip-dry. Really, they're just covering themselves. The cutlery isn't that fragile.

This set was gifted to me … it’s not amazing quality and IMO it’s worth about $50-60. The set is a slight step up from your generic Big W product as it has slightly more weight but the stainless steel finish is of low quality and easily attracts scratches etc.

  • Ordered two sets.

  • $14 postage kills it for me. Some (only some) of the stuff in their eBay store has free shipping for eBay Plus but this product is not to be found.
