Somatik Ora Smartwatch feedback, mine DOA.

Picked up one of these watches yesterday for my boy from Big W but seems dead on arrival as wont start up after being on a charger overnight. A little green light flashes on back of watch every few seconds whilst charger is plugged in but nothing on screen. I think there is meant to be a charging symbol on screen?

Watch also vibrates in hand if you pick it up whilst charging and only stops when you lay it down, unsure if that is normal or a feature.

Magnetic clamp that holds the charger in place is fairly useless and seems to be stronger on one side compared to the other.

Anyone else had a DOA on one of these watches, are they generally not too bad once they work? Will be returning to Big W but not impressed with reliability so far.

    I was looking at the DGTEC and Somatik watches at Big W but I don't know which one is better or if either one is any good. Did you end up resolving the issue with your Somatik?

      Took it back to BIG W and replaced with another Somatik, the heart rate sensor in the new one was either DOA or has failed within a day and is no longer flashing the green light on the back as it should.

      Pretty unimpressed to say the least and I'll be taking this one back too, ideally for a refund this time although my little boy is still wanting to keep it even though it doesnt work properly.

      You could probably buy about 3 of similar function and design on Aliexpress for the price we paid for one, but my son wanted the Big W one as his sister was getting one too.

        I picked up the $79 DGTEC one with wireless earphones for the wife. She's had a play and it does the job (mainly just wants to receive notifications of messages and track fitness). I also considered a much cheaper one from AliExpress, but I figured if this one is crap, it's easy to take back to Big W.

          Screen died on the second one today. :(
