Where to Find a Non Steam/Dry Iron?

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a Non Steam/Dry Iron. There are a few available on eBay, but hoping to find something with an AU plug, having no luck with the usual Harvey Norman, JB, Good Guys.

In the meantime I am just using a normal steam iron without adding any water.

I've never seen these before but, out of curiosity, what's the difference between a non-steam/dry iron vs a steam/wet(?) iron without water?

  • Try a cheap hotel, or the 90s.

Spotlight have one. On sale now-Semco Steamless Crafter Iron $9-$13 depending on colour, fairly small 17 x 6.8 x 9.8 cm.
It might fit your needs, usual steam iron is around 24.8 cm Length to 29.6.

I always thought you could just use the steam versions and just not put water in them? Is this not the case?

    • I have a Kambrook dry iron. The point for me in dry irons that they are much lighter than the steam ones. But larger than a travel iron.

Very nice to use + no maintenance.
I just spray the clothes with water, so I still use steam..

      Cannot find any now sorry.

      • I had no idea. However, the el cheapo, generic Target one that we have lying in the cupboard is pretty darn light. I mean, I learned to iron with stuff that didn't need me to apply pressure at all. That's how heavy they were. Thankfully, I didn't have to learn with cast iron stuff that you put charcoal in. That was definitely before my time. Anyway, the el cheapo feels so light that when I took it out of the box, I thought it was a toy. You might find some that will fit your criteria?
