Buying Second hand Oztrail 10p Tent purchased Two years ago but never opened

Hi
Please advice if it is suggested to buy a second hand Oztrail Manson 10p Tent.

Sellers say, they purchased the tent 2 yeara ago, but never opened or get to set ot up.

Assuming seller is honest, is it recommended to buy a tent that is manufactured 2 years ago but never used and save $90.

Brand new is $260 and price for sale by this seller is $175

    Well you will know immediately upon inspection if it is really brand new or not, impossible to fold a tent back to the way the factory does.
    So if you are happy with the price, and the features/size/reviews etc, then why not?

      Until the seller says that the last person who looked at it got it out of the bag to inspect. Or that they got it out of the bag to check it hadn't died sitting there for 2 years (mould, moths, whatever)

    The main concern is the flooring. Cheaper made tends the tarp flooring flakes away pretty quickly, even if brand new or near new. If the flooring has no flaking and feels smooth and waterproof go for it

      Thank you Slinky.. Have seen the floorimg of this tent somewhere else. It is fairly good in quality.. so I would guess it should be in fairly good condition too!

    Does the seller have somewhere you can put it up, make sure all the bits are there?
