Can you still use Wish gift cards at all four?
Yes, WISH Gift Card should be valid at all Woolworths Stores.
I can tell what you'll see on the machine: "Card unkown Card rejected".
Why did Woolies start rejecting the Gift cards?
I guess so they can offer promotions on the cards for stores with higher margins (bigw, for example) while keeping the lower margin supermarkets at full price.

Previously they were just after gross sales, hence the massive amount of buying gift cards with gift carts that went on.

No. You used to be able to, but now you cannot. Back when you could, some fun times were had. In numerous contexts. Those who partook will know what I mean.

Please note that as of 21 October 2020, when you purchase a Woolworths Branded eGift Card, it will only be redeemable within the brand for which the Store eGift Card is branded :
- BIG W eGift Cards will only be redeemable at BIG W, online and in store.
- Woolworths Supermarket eGift Cards will only be redeemable at Woolworths Supermarkets / Metro, online and in store.
- BWS eGift Cards will only be redeemable at BWS, online and in store.
- Dan Murphy's eGift Cards will only be redeemable at Dan Murphy's, online and in store.
- Cellarmasters eGift Cards will only be redeemable at Cellarmasters online.
This change affects Branded eGift Cards only, NOT Physical Branded Gift Cards.
I purchased something at Big W with a gift card. Then had to take it back. They gave me back a big w gift card. I put those details in my phone and it came up specifically as a Big W gift card. What I did find interesting though was I tried it a few days later at Woolworths just to see and it worked.
So maybe it depends on store?Physical cards are OK to use at other group companies, only egiftcards have the issue.

No, they disallowed that a few months back.
