Qantas Points Transfer via Another Family Members Account

I am looking to purchase some Qantas points because they seem to be cheaper than normal (sub 1 cent per point) on ebay and ozbargain classifieds. I live in Canberra and because of no budget airline flights are expensive. Using frequent flyer points usually are the best value way to travel domestically. I have over 500,000 Qantas points right now and would love to accumulate more while prices are low, but I'm scared that if Qantas catch me buying points that they might cancel my account and I forfeit all my points.
So I had an idea to create an account in my grandmothers name to receive the points from the seller, then her account would send me the points technically not breaking Qantas T&C's. My grandmother is 93, has no intention to ever fly again and is totally okay for me to do this.
Has anybody ever done this or see anyway Qantas could still forfeit my account for doing this?
Thanks

    Setup a QBR account
    Find someone selling QBR points

Points can be transferred to anyone - work colleagues, family or friends - with an individual
    .

Transfer to your QFF account 1:1

    • Do I need to setup a QBR account to do this or do I just need to find somebody selling points with a QBR account?
      I don't have a ABN so I don't think I can get a QBR account.

Seller with a QBR account should work…
ABN reg takes 5 min and is free.

If you do decide to setup the account in your grand mother's name, just use her account to make the bookings rather than transfer the points to your account. This would avoid any link between the point's purchase and your frequent flyer account.

    • That's a great idea, Thanks
