            @Gandalf the Thrifty: Yes but can’t stand machine generated audio .. I skip the videos on YouTube that have machine voice

              @naru6705: i do the same. The machine voice sounds almost natural, but that just gives it uncanny valley.

    I assumed the narration would be some sort of monotone Stephen Hawking-esque effort, but I had a listen to The Prince and 'Mary' has a bit more inflection and tonal range than I expected!

    If it's a computer reading to you, why not just use text to speech where you can choose the speed?; Can you choose the speed of these?

    Another source of free audio books to borrow may be your local library. Mine uses LIBBY and BORROW BOX apps and your library membership number and your birth date to log into hundreds of books. Quality audio and can change speed too. Check your local municipal library.

    I got "Something went wrong. Item not found".
    Pressing the green Try Again button doesn't work either. I guess I'll try looking each one up individually then.
