Pfffff who is going to buy a toothbrush that doesn't have an app! What is this 2012!

    • Yes and only $160 more for the app version.

I recently got mine replaced. It was actually dead over the 2 year warranty however there is an unspoken rule that it's actually 2 1/2 year warranty. My tooth brush is 2y 4 month old. Received replacement few days ago.

    • One of the last deals on here the usual discussion between those who had there’s die and the ‘mines still going after xx years’. I was the latter and the sodding thing died very soon after. You can get batteries, or handles for about $100 off eBay which I did, but it didn’t charge. So, yes, they do die, but I much prefer them to OralB.

    • mine wobbled like crazy and Philips wouldnt replace it, but it was also because i got it off Joybuy special. they would only offer me a discounted replacement toothbrush. i ended up getting my replacement toothbrush from aliexpress for 80 bucks and i could still use the other accessories it came with.

Mine died about a week ago, and was about the same age as yours. Should be getting my replacement handle tomorrow. Great customer service, but seems a bit pathetic that such a pricey toothbrush only lasts a couple years. I had an Oral B mid-range before this and it lasted almost 10 years…

  • $219 for a toothbrush? What else can I clean from it?

Fantastic for cleaning the grout in your bathroom

An expensive toothbrush is still cheaper than fixing some rotting teeth!

    Bought 1 for each tooth.
    Thanks 😊

  • Unrelated to this deal but in the category of electric toothbrushes, l just purchased the oclean x off eBay for $55, really great, has fancy unnecessary bells and whistles like colour touch screen and the app, but does the basics really really well. Tried to post a deal for it but ozb eBay rules wouldn't let me, just search in Google and look at the shopping results

  • You can buy these off Ebay for about $110 for the brush, head, charge station

    • Exactly what I did (got just the handle for about $80) and it didn’t charge on my charger. I think my charger is ok as it didn’t charge in the travel case charger either. I’m suspicious that the cheap ones on eBay might be counterfeit or refurbs with cheap batteries in them), or that you can’t tell those from the genuine ones).

      • I'm in the same boat as you. I bought a cheap one off ebay (shipped from China) to replace an old Sonicare whose battery stopped recharging after five years. The LED icons looked slightly different to the model I originally had. And it cleaned no where near as well and the vibrations were far more coarser, louder and somewhat discomforting for my teeth. I don't think mine had cheap batteries, but rather a completely different motor.
I'll try the Oclean X next, but I really do rate the quality of the Philips.

    • Could you please link for the charge station?

I bought a SOOCAS X3U, has an app, does the same thing, looks better and charges faster via usb C.

Massive regrets when i bought the wife a diamondclean, glass charging is kinda cool but not as cool as something thats like $70 and does better

  • Bit off topic but what are the right brush heads to get? On to the last of my stockpile of Diamondclean heads and they all seem to have changed now? Am I that out of touch?! Looks like W3 Premium are the ones to get but is there a big difference between them?

Also best place to get them?

    • The latest brushes use a head with a chip in it. Seems to have a symbol like a WI-FI one printed on the base. I’m not sure if these fit on the ‘dumb’ handles, but they cost more. There are so many generic ones around of dubious quality. I find the genuine ones last for ages so I get them when I see them cheap. Amazon or shaver shop maybe?

Looks like the new heads do go on the dumb handles. Shaver shop has 8 packs for $59 of optimal white and plaque defence ones.

      • Thanks for that. Was wondering why they were more expensive than I remembered.
Definitely prefer genuine, they just seem to last a lot longer.
