Behringer Wasp Deluxe Synthesiser $285 Delivered @ Store DJ

300

Not sure why the sudden price drop on this one but I saw it on facebook.

Going for around the $550 - $600 mark elsewhere.

All the Behringer Synths seem to have had big price drops at Store DJ but this one is the stand out as far as I can tell.

Hmmm…I might get one at that price. Maybe a tr6 for $185 too.

Couldn't help myself. Strawberry td3 and Blue rd6 on the way for $340 delivered!

        Now to get a mixer…

    • That's a bargain and its tangerine. I paid $240ish 6months ago.

  • Great prices! Crazy how cheap synths are getting..

"Not sure why the sudden price drop" - my theory is that it's because people are realizing that it can all be done on a PC?

    • Nah, Behringer's analogue stuff is incredibly popular at the moment (cheap and analogue, basically no competition for them in the entry level space). We've been able to do everything these can do and much more on computers for over 20 years, yet analogue gear is more popular than it's ever been since the 80s. Everything has been sampling, virtual analogue and digital synths since the 90s, we've only recently seen cheap analogue come onto the market.

You can't beat the physical controls. It's all about "knob tweaking" - something that can't be done naturally from a PC or a Mac.

      • They are also doing really cheap guitar pedals at the moment

Cheers OP, picked up a Wasp 👍

wow the DeepMind 12 has also dropped to $1149 - that's definitely the best price you can get it for currently.

  • I noticed a big drop on Behringer sequencers and drum machines too. As an example, the Behringer 606 clones are about 1/3 of the price of the Roland 606 clones.

I wish Behringer had something to compete with Roland TR-6s.

Prices have also dropped on Behringer gear at a few large overseas retailers that have become Behringer “super partners”

Thanks for the heads up! I would have got the Wasp but I already have a Neutron and I've been looking for a Model D 2nd hand for a bit, so for $429 decided to just get it brand new. Same with an Ultragain ADA8200 for $315. Also picked up a TD3, RD6 and a DI.
