    Thanks, op. Valentine's Day sorted.

    • You have an awesome partner~!

  • Region locked?

    • +1

      I think 1 to 7 multi-region, Jigsaw Region A locked

  • So is it compatible with my AU Xbox One?

If you want the highest bitrate video quality and uncompressed audio, legally, then yes.

Didn't realise there were 8 of these now! Original was great, I stopped bothering after the third movie.

    • They mostly got worse with each one, but I found Jigsaw reboot to be worth watching

      • That's what I was finding. was just getting more and more gruesome, with nothing to actually make it watchable.

    • New one coming out based off it it's called spiral and it has Chris Rock (the comedian) looks quite good imo

  • Not great IMO

Save your money and watch this if you want real horror.

    • +1

No thanks. I watch horror to escape real life. This kinda defeats the purpose.

    • +1

Surely you realise that trying to shove this stuff down people's throats is counterproductive.

I'd like to think at least someone will see something that makes them consider how terribly we treat our fellow Earthlings and be decent and make a change, but then there's also the consolation that those who just just don't want to care and remain callous get annoyed as my posts inflame their own cognitive dissonance. So there's that.

  • i saw the first 3. I feel like I've seen everything it has to offer at this point. Is it worth seeing the rest?

    • Only if you are into the overarching story, other than that I enjoyed the Jigsaw soft-reboot.

      • i got the impression that the arc ended with saw 3. Does a new arc begin, or does the original story arc continue from there?

        • +1

They find ways to keep it going like Lost.

          • @Jimbuscus: i see. It sounds like they didn't have an outline for 8 movies and just made it up as they went after it was successful.

Can you watch the reboot without seeing 4-7?

          • @Jimbuscus: I only ever saw part of the first episode of lost when I was channel flicking. I assumed it was a movie and it got to the end and I realised it was an episode, and I was just thought to myself in my head, how can anyone be bothered watching people stuck on an Island for any longer than that…Turns out I was wrong, apparently plenty of people can for a very long time.

            • @conan2000: I have binged it twice, when it was on-air I didn't get beyond 2 seasons because it was too drawn out, but for binging it's got enough mystery to keep you interested up until the last 2 seasons where it becomes too obvious that they where making it up as they go.

Can't say it's a great show but it was a good trip on the way, just no destination.

Saw IV is my fav entry in the series, with an inventive twist that links it to 3. Your mileage may vary but if you dig the first three, I think it's worth watching Saw IV

  • Beware - reading the reviews on Amazon, it appears they've cheaped out with this one, squeezing multiple movies on each disc (except the Jigsaw one) and stripped audio tracks and all the special features to make them fit. Not a proper "box set" where you'd expect to have the proper version of each individual release included, but a el-cheapo one which appears to have caught some people out.

be careful with reviews. They lump the reviews of multiple products together, so you have to make sure the review is of the product you're looking at. For example, reviews of the DVD and Bluray and 3D Bluray would all be lumped together and you have to check which version they are reviewing. Multiple editions of movies (director's cut, collector's edition, steelbook edition, standard edition, etc) would also be lumped in together.

What you described is what they did in the collection I bought in 2015 (which would not have been 8 films). I don't know if this collection is any different. It could be the same deal, or the review might be referring the collection I have.

      According to the description:

      Number of discs : 9

I don't think this is multiple movies on one disc.

  • Will this play on a PS4?

    • I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't, it's probably a US version and Sony still region locks.

It would have been great if these were stocked at the 2 Big W stores that closed in Vic, as they had DVDs for 50-75% off, then 50 cents.

I did get all 6 Predators movies for $4 thou.
The last movie (the Predator) sucks big time, bad acting, script & they tried to add some humor in it, yet to watch it all.

I'm also a fan of SAW, very tempting.
