Boost Mobile- Wi-Fi Calling

Hi All.
Wanted to know if anyone is with Boost mobile and their thoughts/ experiences?
Also wanted to know how well Wi-Fi calling works on the network? I have decent coverage near me, but several rooms in the house can't get any signal so hoping Wi-Fi calling will solve the issue.

Thanks

Whenever I have problems with missed calls or poor audio quality on calls, I know that wifi calling was somehow turned on in the settings. So I always turn it off so it never gets used. Have great internet but there's a point in the house where if you walk between rooms you change access points, which doesn't matter for whatever you're doing online, even Facetime and downloads, except wifi calling will bork.

  • Wifi calling works well, hence i got the inlaws farm on boost and onnphones capable of VoLTE.. have also meshed the whole property so they can still make calls.

The ring/call delay on wifi calling is normal because of how it works.. its even worse if the other line is on a VoIP type setup on their NBN the delay is compounded

    • Okay- thanks very much for that.

  • This is the sort of conundrum my mum asks

  • intrigued, how does WiFi calling work?

and can you use the mobile network(4g) to call people when there is no network reception for normal calls?

    • Let's say you have no phone coverage but have access to an internet connection, you are able to make regular phone calls and send SMS messages over the Wifi network

It works really well for me. I have poor network reception at home but wifi calling allows me to make and receive calls. Without wifi calling, most incoming calls used to go straight to my voicemail and any calls that did go through would break up making it impossible to have a conversation.
