Paint Damage to Wall Due to Leakage

Hi Guys
I am moving out of current property and I have some damage to paint in the wall in room adjoining the bathroom due to leaks in the bathroom.
I had notified my owner about the potential leak in due time and he had sent plumber to fix the walling.
The damage due to that leak on one side of the wall has still persisted and I am curious if I would be liable to pay up for fixing up that wall
Thanks

Nope. Owner's problem. You've done your bit by notifiying them about the problem.

The shower in the bathroom obviously needs to be completely regrouted and resealed.

The owner seems to have taken the easy way out by hiring someone to squirt some silicone sealant in a few corners and call it a day.

Check your shower tiling for cracks/gaps in the grout and any for any gaps in the sealant along the edges of the shower screen. There's probably more cracks than a Brazzers video.

    • Haha . Yes that indeed was the case. He fixed up the sealand and never bothered to fix the paint on the other side of the wall.

    • probably more like the waterproofing membrane has failed…. regrouting/resealing may work for a few weeks at best…

  • Thanks everyone..Appreciate the responses..!!!
