I Am Looking for a Greyhound for a Family Pet

I am looking for a greyhound to replace the one I have just put down due to her suffering with bone cancer in her hind leg. We have had Greyhounds for many years all ex racers and can offer a loving home.
Please PM if you can help.
Thank you
I'm located in the Brisbane area.

A real Ozbargainer would sneak into the catching pen at Albion Park with a collar and lead.

Sorry to hear about you loss. Have you spoken to the rescue organisations you have used in the past?

    • Thanks for your thoughts it quite destressing but am trying to put on a brave face.
To answer your question no as yet. I have always got them direct from trainers or owners. I used to train greyhounds many years back but have lost contact in the industry so that's why I have put it on the form.

Friends of the Hound are based in Murwillumbah but have carers with hounds in QLD - https://www.friendsofthehound.org.au/category/available/ .

    Sorry for your loss.

    • Thanks

  • Do greyhounds generally stink?
My aunt is in an aged care home where until recently, someone would bring in two greyhounds for the residents to pet.
Management recently banned them because everyone was complaining about their odour.

      Do greyhounds generally stink?

Depends how many races they came last in…

    • Greyhounds don't usually have a doggie smell but the rear end might depending what you feed them, like all dogs.
