Toaster Oven Like The Panasonic NB-G100P

Anyone who has used this knows it is the shizzle. Well-built, small footprint, two shelves, reasonable price, not made in China and oh-so-fast.

Unfortunately mine blew up recently just out of warranty. Panasonic no longer sells them or their later model here in Australia so I'm on the lookout for something else. Would prefer Japanese-made.

Happy to pay more if the build quality is good and the footprint similar. Most available here in Australia are either way too big, or cheap Chinese crap.

  • I bought this a few months ago and absolutely love it! Steam and combination functions (steam & bake, steam & grill) are worth their weight in gold.

    • Interesting.

Are you able to tell me whether there are two shelves in there? I looked at some smaller models but they all had just the one rack.

      • There is only one shelf but there are a number of different positions for it.

    A bit ironic.

Even though just out of warranty, it still should be fixed.

I purchased the original Breville Smart Oven Pro a few years ago for around $250 (but looks like price has gone up), probably made in China but is brilliant.

Replaced a dying built in oven.

      lol got me!

We got our money's worth out of it though. Gave it a flogging for five good years, and it was replacing a Breville which couldn't take the heat.

        5 year warranty?

We gave my Breville to my parents who are still using it.

Currently have 2 full sized ovens + toaster in my new kitchen. However I must admit if it wasn't for the aesthetics of having a bench oven, I'd take the Breville + 1 oven over 2 ovens + toaster.

Unfortunately, I don't think appliances, even Panasonic are made to the same high standards as yesteryears due to costs.

Our Panasonic microwave in the 80s cost 2 weeks average salary. A Panasonic microwave today is 1 day's salary.
