  • I heard these are crap. Is it true?

    • I can confirm these magnet head type chargers are crapo..

      • thanks.

      • +1

I strongly disagree. Been using magnetic heads for several years and love them. Don't have the same throughput as dedicated cables but offset that with ease of use and less wear and tear on the socket

        • yes I agree in theory its a good concept less stabbing your phone less dmg to socket. Issue in my situation is that I did not swap all the chargers over as I still had perfectly good normal one so I still ended up having to unplug etc.

The issue I have is any pressure at all near the magnet will disconnect it when plugged in to the phone. the magnetic pins/heads are very prone to dmg I dropped a few and the dmged the magnet and failed to work due to not having even surface between the head and the line.

    • +2

I use these magnetic style cable for kids phones and lots of other things such as headphones, kindles, torches etc. I find them support convenient as it is super quick and I don't need to fumble with different cables etc.
The magnetic size isn't strong but that's fine when the cable gets knocked the device doesn't go tumbling to the floor. They don't charge as fast as my pixel charger but I don't general need my Kindle or head phones charged that fast? Convenience is huge, so I love them.

    • I picked these up in the last sale and am happy so far. Only complaint is that the led light is very bright. Had to wrap a bandaid around the light for the one in my bedroom

      • Had to wrap a bandaid around the light for the one in my bedroom

Just use a black marker to make it much dimmer…

  • "Magnet is really weak and will disconnect with any weight"

    • +1

That is the point - magsafe - it is strong enough to connect quickly any time you get close and weak enough to let go when you take the device away

  • Why do all these random wireless chargers have massive branding? It just makes it generic when done that way.

  • I have the magnetic charging cable, used it for a month so far. I have an android with USB c and no other cable I've tried works, not even oem (i.e. something is wrong with my phone's port). It charges fast, but not as fast as the OEM cable (I think).. so this cable is a life saver for me.

I also briefly tried it on an iOS device and it worked.

As for longevity, I can't say for sure, but so far so good.

  • I have prime but they still charge me $2.50 for delivery? Anyone else?

    • Yes same here

    • Same thing here. OP probably worth removing the free shipping from the title for Prime members.

  • i got this in last sale.

USB C adapter isnt fast charging my Samsung S20 Ultra (just regular slow speed charge).
Not charging my Samsung S6 Lite tablet at all.

Apple adapter works in iPhone 12 Pro Max, but doesnt charge iPhone 8.

Micro USB adapter fast charges Samsung S7 Edge

Magnet is too weak and disconnects at the hint of movement.
I use it in car for Android Auto. I keep the phone in holder near gear shifter.
At slightest of jerks/accidental touch while changing gears, AA disconnects and take 15 secs to be back online.

That apart it works fine in S7 Edge, atleast for me.

    • Thanks for your comments

    • Strange, only iOS device in the family is an apple 8 and it works on that. Maybe the phone is particular with charging bricks.

  • bought one in the last sale…I think a month ago. The quality of the cable seems good, works well with my iPhone and wife's note 10.
didn't find any other of this kind at this price. Thinking of buying another one for the car.
